Semillitas is a quality early childhood education center that offers a fun, creative curricula in a nurturing atmosphere where children are immersed in the Spanish language and introduced to the Latin culture.

Our Philosophy
We believe that children are very much like little seeds, full of potential (hence our name, Semillitas); they develop their cognitive, emotional, social, and physical skills at a very young age.

Through the Spanish Immersion program, creative curricula and a multicultural classroom environment, we aim to help the youngest members of society realize their potential and blossom into confident, tolerant, autonomous, well-rounded individuals, who are comfortable but also challenged by who they are, the world they live in, encouraging a sense of belonging and an understanding of what it means to live in a diverse community. We aim to empower children to communicate with and understand others, foster and feed the incredible desire and ability to learn, solve problems, innovate, invent and play.

We believe that a strong bond between the children and the care provider is fundamental for the emotional and social well being of the child. At Semillitas, we are owner operated: all providers are also partners, personally invested in the success of the center and rotation of personnel is very rare. If you have any concerns or suggestions, you can take it right to the top without an appointment needed.

Our Mission
Our mission is to exceed parent's expectation in providing care for their infants and children. We will provide a safe, nurturing and fun environment utilizing culturally and developmentally appropriate practices.

Our Vision
Our vision is to serve as the foundation of vibrant, peaceful, diverse communities. At Semillitas, we provide a bilingual and multicultural early childhood education where children of different backgrounds share their strengths and learn to understand and accept their differences. We want to be a model of child care for the community at large.

Our Founders
We are a group of seven Latino women who have an education background and extensive experience working with children. All of us are passionate about the difference we can make through the bilingual and multicultural education provided with love. Although we are organized as a PLLC, we work as a cooperative, where the owners will also be the workers, decisions are reached by consensus and members are personally invested in the success of the center.
